Rolling hills decorated with lush forest are a gift to hikers, eventually flattening out into dryer savannah that is also very walkable. The coast has lovely, palm-fringed beaches, and the capital, Lome, is home to a grand bazaar and a fetish market at which traditional talismans used in religious ceremonies can be bought.
