Canal boats meet cycle paths.
Hallo! Wecome to the Netherlands. Flat as a pancake, the home of the Dutch, and th Dutch bike, should by rights have been swallowed by the sea ages ago. A complex system of flood defences stop that happening, so you can still have an incredibly picturesque cycling holiday. Known for windmills, tulips, and another kind of plant, Holland is on many people’s list for a European holiday. Rotterdam, not Amsterdam, is the place to go if architecture is your thing, while the latter boasts a very walkable or rideable ring of canals and museums full of Van Goghs and Dutch masters. If you want cafe culture one day, and endless fields of colour the next, with dutch cheese for every meal, VISIT THE NETHERLANDS!
