Hurtelling down picturesque ski slopes meets hiking up to mountaintop fairytale castles
Hoi, and welcome to Liechtenstein. You may not think of Liechtenstein immediately when planning a trip, but don’t you want to see the world’s smallest country? You can see it in a day, without much strain, and can visit by train from Switzerland. It’s ruled by a prince who seems to own most of it, including the sixteenth-century castle. But there’s a museum at least! Landesmuseum is to be found on a scenic hillside, overlooking that castle. So you can learn all about the history and culture of this miniscule country, and get a glimpse at that castle at the same time. If you want microstate bragging rights, or a very memorable daytrip from nearby, VISIT LIECHTENSTEIN!
