NEW ZEALAND REFLECTION

Its 3am and I am currently boarding my flight to Nadi, Fiji after a few hours kip on the airport floor – a usual occurrence during my travels.

There is plenty to talk about and plenty to love about my time in New Zealand, most notably about the Kiwi Experience itself and the people on it. After spend close to 3 weeks with the same group of people it’s always going to be a down moment leaving but on the bright side, Fiji is only a few hours away.

TOP 5 COUNTRY FOR SURE!!!

The Kiwi Experience took all the pain out of the travelling, accommodation and activities were always available. Not to mention the few activities that were only possible if you were part of the trip.

VARIETY

My expectations were huge, probably the biggest expectations I’ve had before visiting somewhere new and it didn’t disappoint. It offered something different at every stop, from Black Water Rafting to the Cultural experience at Tamaki Maori Village.

Experiencing White Water Rafting for the first time was for sure a highlight everyone needs to do and the night at the Poo Pub was a unique experience no one else apart from the bus gets to live.

Summed up….

  • HIGHLIGHT – The people on the bus & activities
  • LOWLIGHT – Weather
  • MVP – Tommy The Tongan
  • VISIT AGAIN – Absolutely
  • RATING – 9/10

QUEENSTOWN!

The weather generally wasn’t great as proved when my Skydive got cancelled at Franz Josef and when the sun did come out the following day I had to sprain my foot playing football.

We then headed into none other than Queenstown where I enjoyed my first bungee at the Kawarau Bridge so much that I decided to go and do another at Nevis before taking part in the Canyon Swing with Anna.

One thing you’ll notice and the reason that puts the Kiwi Experience above anything else is that no matter what activity you are doing you are always doing it with someone else or a group. As the saying goes, what is an experience when you have no one to share it with.

EXPENSIVE BUT GOOD VALUE

After trying the most famous burger in the world, I made my way back up to Auckland via Lake Tekapo which will forever be known as the start of visiting every country in the world. We had a stop in Christchurch where the effects of the devastating earthquake was all too obvious before landing in Auckland for a final farewell.

I also tend to add any lowlights just to keep the balance but in all honesty I’m struggling. Its not the cheapest place I have visited but I feel I got plenty of value for money. Maybe the weather could have been better but as said before it only gets in the way if you let it.

NO REGRETS

I for sure wish I had done the North but that’s more of a regret on my part and would suggest if anyone makes the trip to NZ to include this! However, saying that if I did travel up north I wouldn’t have met the many people who were on my bus. Everything happens for a reason

NEW ZEALAND REFLECTION FINAL THOUGHTS

Would I recommend New Zealand, would I recommend the Kiwi Experience, would I recommend staying for a month? Yes, Yes and Yes. I can not speak highly enough of my experience here and it easily jumps into my top 5 countries!
