WHAT FOR 2021…
So, what for 2021…Every day is a new day and all that and normally things tend not to change that drastically but over the last year, every day is as close to a year apart as it’s ever been.
YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE
And that cannot be truer than to the effect on the travel industry. One day you could be going to Barbados for 2 weeks and just a few hours later at the flick of a switch the country, as well as yours could close its borders for as long as they see fit.
BUT WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS?
I tend to have in mind my next few trips but often leave it late before booking. This year however…well…I don’t have a faq’n clue! Last year’s Turkey trip is far up the list but that was before our own country just entered another 6 week hard lockdown. Normally this wouldn’t be enough to stop me, I can cope with the odd quarantine but the last thing I want to do is to apply for another 26 refunds like I had to last year…for one trip!
What for 2021…Turkey??
BUT SERIOUSLY, WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS?
Ok if COVID wasn’t around where would I be going? Unfortunately, it’s still not that simple! Apart from Turkey, Portugal and possibly a bit of Western Africa the other countries I have in mind are too risky to flout right now. Sorry to disappoint but they are some of the most dangerous countries on earth and well worth waiting for.
2021 WANTS….
- Get back to regular travel 🛩
- Visit one of the worlds most dangerous countries 🔫
- Revisit South-East Asia 🏝

FINAL THOUGHTS
I’d expect this year won’t be far off that of 2020 with a sign of normality slowly coming back towards the year end. However, after living with it for over a year people seem to be much less fearful of it and I’d expect many more people to venture out from now until then, me included!
