Greco-Roman ruins meet a hikers’ paradise
Voghju’yn, and welcome to Armenia. You won’t be disappointed if you’re a fan of history, as this country has a twisting, complex past and a hardy culture that has been shaped from it. Visit Medieval, rock-hewn monasteries and Roman amphitheaters, or simply hike amongst wildflowers in Dilijan National Park. Mountain towns and villages in the Armenian countryside are remote enough that they have had little contact with outsiders, and have not been changed by tourism. If you want an authentic Caucuses experience in the country, and to eat barbecued meat at a tavern and then pop next door to a wine bar in the capital of Yereven, then VISIT ARMENIA.
