THE THAILAND SERIES, DAY 11
AO NANG – KRABI – BANGKOK – PATTAYA
A make over on Pattaya Beach. I’ll be honest, Pattaya is far from being one of Thailand’s best towns, it’s touristy, it’s westernised and it’s frankly a bit nuts.
I HAVE HONESTLY NEVER SMELT ANYTHING LIKE IT
But that’s exactly why I like it, it’s wild and a great place to have a beer and people watch. You will not see people like it anywhere else on the world.Actually you will not smell people like it anywhere else in the world.
After a flight to Bangkok I got the bus to Pattaya but it was here I encountered what was probably the smelliest person on the planet. To be fair I don’t think he was right but if you were capable of getting a flight from the UK (he was English) to Thailand then you should be capable of jumping into a shower at least once a month. Absolutely felt for the Aussie fella who had to sit next to him, no guesses why he decided to keep his mask on.
WHERE IS PATTAYA?

After checking into Acqua Hotel (fairly average) I made a beeline for the beach to chill with a Chang. Pattaya Beach is fairly big and sun loungers will stretch the entire length of it, however there are just no tourists.
Vendors are constantly walking up and down the beach selling everything from pedicures to dried fish. What else would you be after while chilling on the beach?! With the 7/11 taste challenge still fresh in my mind, it was hard not to dry boke every time he passed me.

MASSAGE
Having seen these people walk up and down the beach tirelessly I decided to go for a calf massage, which turned out to be incredibly sore/good. I was soon surrounded and a calf massage lead to getting my feet smoothed out and then a manicure for good measure.
I have to say, the old feet are now some job 😆.
