’11 OZ PHOTO SERIES PT1
HOME – SINGAPORE – PERTH – CAIRNS – PORT DOUGLAS
LEAVING FOR MY SECOND SOLO ADVENTURE!
After waiting just 2.5 years my second solo trip was upon me, I was super excited! I didn’t have so much of a plan but I would stay in Singapore for a few days and start in Perth.
PERTH DIDN’T DO ANYTHING FOR ME…. THIS TIME!
In Singapore I stayed at The Inncrowd Backpackers, which was socially an epic place to stay. The hostel was in Little India so I was keen to get out and have some chicken tikka masala. Little did I know, what I had come to expect of Indian food was a complete con and out came a chicken drumstick covered in I don’t know what!
WHERE IS SINGAPORE?
Leaving for my second solo adventure
PERTH
Perth wasn’t so much a mistake but rather the wrong hostel and the wrong time. I arrived late and checked into a hostel which turned out to be some sort of foreign language hostel and I immediately made plans to fly over to the east coast. The flight cost me $400 but it was a small price to pay and I wouldn’t have changed much from that moment on. Staying there would have meant not getting to meet the people I did on the east coast!

CAIRNS, THE REAL BEGINNING
Arriving into Cairns I checked into Bounce Hostel and immediately got friendly with a few others who were there; Roy, Annabel, Sol and a few others.
PORT DOUGLAS & CAPE TRIBULATION
Harm who I had met in the hostel in Singapore was also here and we decided to book a trip up to Cape Tribulation, a place recommended by a friend! It was hard to see how I had never heard of it before, from its desolate beaches, lush forests and incredible lagoons, I put it as a must do while in Cairns.
