KOH LANTA
Ok this is what I have been waiting for, it only took me 2months for find somewhere to chill and knowing I’ll be heading back to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan for another full moon I was in need of a few chill days!
YOU JUST CAN’T AVOID IT IN THAILAND
A welcome break in Koh Lanta
Arrived at Koh Lanta (Non Lamer Hostel), one of Thailands largest islands in the early morning and you would never know who we bumped into. Walking into the hostel we bumped into the 3 swedes we traveled with in Thailand and Cambodia, we hadn’t even had time to check in. Bearing in mind we came here for a chill its not ideal to bump into this trio! Trying to stay clear of the bar so rented a few scooters to some beaches and get a feel of the place.
A quiet beach in Thailand, unheard of! A welcome break in Koh Lanta
CHILLED VIBE
This Island is completely different to koh phi phi and the closest thing Ive actually seen to a chilled out island. Most of the other islands would be chilled if their beaches weren’t lined with bars and clubs!
We managed to get around the whole island in half a day, although got the impression the island hasn’t much else to offer us as there isn’t a lot of life. Maybe this is the place to go after Koh Phangan! Got back to the hostel and agreed to check out tomorrow and head to krabi for a few days. Carlos has already been so he has an idea what it’s about.
Out for dinner and the usual few drinks with the girls, I hear there’s a beach party selling mushroom shakes…
Don’t read on if you are queasy
Between the Swedes there is always something wrong, one of them is always hurt whether it be because one of them fell into a bath of petrol or another got their foot infected. Little Asa’s foot has with time become worse and worse, no one has any idea what the hell even happened or why the body can’t deal with it. If you are feeling up to the challenge swipe below to see its downfall!
FINAL THOUGHTS
The backpacker trail is a real thing and seems like i have to cross heaven and earth to get some form of solidarity. But in all honesty, would I have it any other way, absolutely f*cking not, I love Thailand and everyone I’ve met so let it continue
NEXT UP
Off to Krabi tomorrow for a visit to Tiger Temple (its not what you think) and Railay beach, stunning! Click to read.
