Iceland

Scandi-cool meets mystical mountaintops

Hallo! Welcome to Iceland. In terms of population, Iceland is tiny. The island has just 320,000 permanent residents. In fact, it’s so small there’s an app to make sure Icelanders don’t hook up with their own cousins… luckily, that means new faces are welcomed! Nature is hard to get away from in this country of ice and fire, with volcanoes and hot springs to be found all over the place, and glaciers carving their way through the uninhabitable centre of the country. Don’t worry if you’re not into the great outdoors, though, there’s always Reykjavik for city slickers. The small city punches well above its weight. There’s a buzz about Reykjavik, with plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Then there are the art galleries, churches, the accessible parliament building and a fantastic modern opera house at the harbour front. If you’ve always dreamed of being pampered in the snow, or drinking cocktails in a seafront bar, VISIT ICELAND!
